Education beyond the classroom

Posted by aurays · November 19, 2015 · 2 replies

Is outdoor education essential to the children's development? Should schools include more extra-curricular activities out in the nature? Is it a task not for the teachers but for the parents?

What do you think?

I'd say yes, yes, yes. Especially if they're kids from a city where almost everyone lives in apartment blocks and green spaces are few and far between. But its not just a matter of taking them out. I'd like every school to have its own garden, where kids could grow both plants and vegetables, and learn to look after and love small animals. There's more to education than maths and English....

The gardening sounds very interesting!
