placement of the adverb, fully

Posted by alexlearner · October 19, 2016 · 2 replies

I would like to put the adverb, fully, in different positions of the same sentence. I am not sure which one sounds natural to native English speakers.

(1) We encourage all members to fully participate in our club events.

(2) We encourage all members to participate fully in our club events.

(3) We encourage all members to participate in our club events fully.

Where should I put the adverb? Thanks.

They're all fine. Stylistically it's often advisable not to separate to and the infinitive, but it's frequently done.

The first sentence comes up naturally while speaking.
