About Me

ESL4WORK is an independent consulting firm based in Calgary, Alberta. We provide on-site

English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to companies who have immigrant workers. Instruction is conducted prior to the commencement of the workday, at lunch, or after work depending on your company’s schedule and needs.

All lessons are based on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) System (visit www.language.ca for more information) to attain the highest benchmark level in the four major skill areas: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. ESL4WORK primarily focuses on instruction for immigrant engineers/geologists (CLB 6 or higher), however instruction for beginning and intermediate proficiency students (CLB 1-5) is also offered.

ESL4WORK is accredited by ATESL (Alberta Teachers of English as a Second Language) and TESL Canada. The company is owned and operated by Vinay Thanawala. Mr. Thanawala has obtained a joint B.Comm (Finance)/B.A. (Economics) from the University of Calgary. Additionally, he has received his CERTESL (Certificate to Teach English as a Second Language) from the University of Saskatchewan, which is recognized by TESL Canada. ESL4WORK is currently providing teaching services for Fluor Canada Ltd., Calgary Catholic Immigration Society and Acuren Group in Calgary, Alberta.
