Education Background
I went to a state secondary school in my hometown. I read English and Spanish at University of Oviedo. I graduated with a BA, and did a postgraduate course on Translation at Dublin City University. I might go back to college ( the Spanish version of Open University) when my daughter's older.

I like a bit of everything. Pop and rock especially bands from the 70s and 80s ( U2, Fleetwood Mac), folk music ( Asturian and Irish), classical music ( Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach), Soul music.
Movies
movies based on books ( Room with a view, Pride and Prejudice), a good comedy ( When Harry met Sally), old movies ( westerns, thriller ( Hitchcock's movies)- kids'movies ( Shrek)
Books
I read a bit of everything, in Spanish and in English.
I enjoy reading the classics ( Jane Austen, Dickens, Oscar Wilde, etc..) plus contemporary writers in both languages ( Gabriel García Márquez, Paul Auster, Nick Hornby, Amy Tan etc...)
I would recommend José Saramago's books, and " Sostiene Pereira" by Antonio Tabucci
