Here is a worksheet for using WHEN to combine sentences for older kids (grades 5-12). I used Power Point to make it and then cut and pasted to Word. I find PPT lets you manipulate things better. The page is meant to be cut in two and the kids write the answers on their notebook paper. Cambridge has a great worksheet and basic grammar book called: "Basic Grammar in Use"

Final version of worksheet using only when for combining sentences. I found it easier to start with when before introducing after, before, while, etc.
