How many activities do you use in each class on a regular basis?

I usually use 3 or 4 activities on a regular basis. However, the activities I use do change... How many do you use lesson-lesson?

I have quite a few activities I recycle lesson after lesson making them more and more complicated as the students get better at them.

Part of that is I try to come up with games or activities that I can swap in and out content, no problem. Then I don't have to spend time explaining what to do just what language we're going to use.

The biggest problem is trying to remember them all 😛

hey simplyesl,

i really want to vote in this poll but i don't understand it... 🤦 i'm sure i'm just missing something but can you explain what the correlation is between the number in the poll and the text?

thanks
eric

It made sense in my head.... Sorry mate:

The number you vote on represents the number of regular activities that you use (per class, as you have different activities for each class/level/age/interest/size/etc).

1 - You only use 1 (or 0) regular activity - all others are only seen for a lesson or two.

2/3 - You have 2/3 main activities that make regular appearances, while bringing in new ones, too.

4/5 - 4/5 regular activities and a small number of new ones.

6+ - 6+ regular activities in each lesson. There isn't much room to bring in new activities so you hardly ever change the activities that you use.

The text beside the number is an example, I guess, of what you might say when asked the question.

I hope that helps!

Eli

now it makes sense. i have about half a dozen activites that i bring to class on a regualr basis, but definitely not everyday. i also tweak them a little so they seem a bit different.

I do the tweaking too. My games constantly evolve, sometimes with the help of my students.
