A baby kangaroo is a joey. A baby sheep is a lamb. A baby cat is a kitten. A baby chicken is a chick. "Cub" is for a baby bear, lion or tiger.
A pony is not a baby horse. A baby horse is a colt.

Well, TECHNICALLY a baby horse is a foal. Colts are male and fillies are female.

Pony can be an affectionate term for a horse or applied to a specific breed.

a camel grunt or neigh or nuzz?
