Is it worth it?

Some of you know that I work in Korea. Well, X-mas is coming and I want to order a turkey with all of the fixings. THe price comes out to just under $70 (up to 12 people with mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, rolls, pie, etc. etc.). The problem is that it would have to be delivered and the delivery cost would be about $120 (2 hour drive to deliver). SHould I spend the 200 for my friends?

I wouldn't dare ask them for money, but, I am caught between doing this and offering up a pot-luck. Thoughts?

Oh, and by the way, it's extremely rare to find this kind of food in Korea.

If you have the means, sure! Go for it!

I pay $60 for a 12lb turkey here in Japan. That's just the way it is. Imagine how upset I was walking buy the freezer in WalMart this summer when I visited family and seeing turkeys for $1/lb.

Two years ago I imported a turkey frier. It's actually just a big pot with a couple accessories. For my school's Christmas party we cook 2-3 turkeys, so the turkey frier is a bit of a must. If you fry, you can cook a turkey in 45 min. And, it tastes awesome.

Anyway, money is for spending. If you have it, make a nice memory for yourself and you friends.

Merry Christmas!

So...? Yes, expensive Christmas dinner or kimchi? 😃

Well to be honest , it's your choice I mean , I would have done it if you have invited that close friends of yours , because it's onces a year and so for me it's okay...but your the one that will do the payment so 🙂 mine is only a suggestion ..
