H1N1 influenza

Posted by sobek · June 1, 2009 · 4 replies

Hi all.
Want to ask if anyone lately has any trouble with traveling internationally due to the swine flu?

I plan on going back to england for my vacation at the end of the month, but I am unsure if i will have any trouble with leaving / coming back due to the swine flu.

Any advice or warnings?

I'm going back in July. I imagine they'll just be longer lines at immigration with questions and screenings on the rise.

hopefully, in a few weeks with summer full on, the cases and spreading will come down a bit.

I'm more worried about being on a plane with 300 other people for 14 hours and actually getting the flu or worse, my kids getting the flu. (going or coming back.)

That is a bit scary...the idea of being in a plane with recycled air for so long. I have to fly to Canada in July...and that is about 12 hours in a plane. hmmm...that should be interesting. Although I think the flu is a bit more under control now. I just noticed that this post was from March.

From March? haha I think i posted this 1st June.

I know there is alot of hype from the media but thats really my only source of information at the moment. And of course, China has quarantined alot of people, so people are expecting me to be quarantined when I come back.

If so, it better be a 5 star hotel in Beijing

Maybe English-coach was looking at my 'join date'?
