Verb tences(Balloon pop)

This is good for middle school large classes. Its a bit hard to organise at first but once you get started the kids love it. First break the class up into small teams. Give each team four balloons. Each teams balloons should be a different color. Put all the teams balloons in the front of class taped on the wall. Then say two words for example I eat. The first team to call out the correct verb tence. For example past I ate dinner yesterday, Gets a chance to pop one of their opponents teams balloons. You keep playing this game until only one team still has its colors balloon still at the front. Warning this activity can get really noisy. Students love it.

sounds cooool. how do the kids pop the balloons? do you give them a pin or do they push up against them?

Most of them use exato- Knives. Some of them will squeeze them. The students just love to pop those balloons. I tried it out for the first time today.

how many baloons shall I need for that game?

I need five baloons shall

Great game. Exacto knives sounds scary to me though. I bet it really does get noisy. Or course you could use all kinds of variations, plurals or opposites etc.

fab game, use a toothpick to pop.

Sounds a great game! Maybe a sharp pencil should do the trick
to pop the balloons!
