What age group are you talking about? Games change based upon age cuz' of their interests.
16 - 30
Do your students know the alphabet? Can they read at all? Do they know any vocabulary sets like names of fruit? Do you want vocabulary games? Do you want speaking or grammar games? Do you want the whole class to play at once? Do you want small groups to play together?
A game that has been a big hit for my Beginning High students is played with 2 teams, each armed with a flyswatter, and a whiteboard. If you look at Dave's ESL Cafe for the word "flyswatter," you'll find a version of the game.
You can read through these forums. There are lot of games here.
Try www.mes-english.com/games/gamestoplay.php Those are some of my standard go-to games.
It's also easier to suggest a game if you can tell us what you are going to teach. Different games are better for different content.
