farewell topic

What do you mean? Teaching them how to say good-bye?

Or is this your last class with the students?

I mean teaching them how to say good-bye? You know in china text book is arranged in different topics or units such as introducing ,shopping ,music ,farewell ,see a doctor and so on. Do i explan it clearly . and thanks for your suggestion and look foword to it.

This is just my opinion but how do you plan a whole lesson on farewell? I would think that would blend in with greetings: hi, hello, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, goodbye, etc.

How many possible ways could you farewell someone? goodbye, see you, bye...that's all I can think of.

Fare well is nothing saying good bye bye bye.....

you can do a whole lesson on farewell celebrations/ceremonies. different cultures have different ways of saying goodbye. in some, it's ok to be happy, in some it's not. are you blessed by a religious person as you leave? do your friends throw you a drunken party at a bar? maybe your family makes you a nice dinner at home. maybe people give you gifts, or lucky charms. there's also the song "farewell, goodbye, Auf Wiedersehen, goodnight."
