-You will write paragraphs on any key terms/issues raised in the previous week's lecture. This would mean you will hand in your second assignment on the week after the Singaporean New Year, on a topic you choose related to English & Colony.

Is it correct to use ON?

1. OK : on = about

2. No - it should be in the week of...

  • on is used with a specific day or date : On Tuesday; on December 1st
  • in is used with a period of time : in the next two weeks, in August, in 1975

3. Why would? It's not hypothetical but a prediction related to a definite requirement - so will.

4. English and Colony doesn't make sense. I'm not sure what is meant because of not knowing the context, but maybe one of : Britain and its colonies / Britain and colonisation / The use of English in British colonies

Good answer. Thank you.
