Can I use amazing to describe bad things or is amazing only for good things?

It depends on context.
I saw an amazing movie yesterday.
We would assume the movie was very good indeed, however:
The movie was so bad I was amazed. It was amazingly bad. It was amazing how bad the movie was.
Is using amazing to mean very very bad.
