Default What verb forms fit well in the preposition, 'for'?

I am not sure which verb forms I can use for the preposition, for. I would like to make up some similar examples with it.

(1) I have been scoring a lot of goals for six weeks.

(2) I had been scoring a lot of goals for six weeks.

(3) I have scored a lot of goals for six weeks.

(4) I scored a lot of goals for six weeks.

(5) I was scoring a lot goals for six weeks.

I am not sure if the preposition, for, can only be used for certain tenses. Please explain this. Thank you very much.

All of those examples are correct. For is used to describe a period of time, 6 seconds, 6 weeks, several months, the whole summer, etc.

This is in cotrast to the preposition since which is used to describe a point in time, for example, 6 months ago, last week, when I was a child.
