THE APPRENTICE is on a distinguished road
Default Reduced or not?

Dear members and friends.

''Are the unstressed ''short I sound'', which are adjectives, reduced to schwa in American English (AmE) in words similar to these ones when preceded by a stressed syllable as in the following words below.

Military /ˈmɪlɪˌtɛri/

Delicious /dɪˈlɪʃəs/

Delicate /ˈdɛləkɪt/; /ˈdeləkət/

This word (delicate) seems to me to be pronounced with a ''short I sound'' in its final syllable.

If those ''short I sound'' in the words above are reduced to schwa, they would sound as these ones below?

Military /ˈmɪləˌtɛri/

Delicious /dəˈlɪʃəs/

Delicate /ˈdɛləkɪt/; /ˈdɛləkət/
