placement of "now"

I am going to make up a few sentences.

(1) I am not now cooking lunch. I want to read a novel instead.

(2) I do not know now what my uncle is planning for my birthday.

(3) I am not doing now what you are requesting.

Is the word, now, correctly placed in these sentences? Thanks.
