Can somebody explain me how to use these markers effectively.

I believe they're only meant to be used to mark each player's space during board games (that is, a poor teacher's version say, these Monopoly tokens).

I suppose you could have the students name or describe them instead of just grabbing the one they want to use, before starting the game. For example, "I want the short, fat, crown." That would probably take up all the game time in some of my classes, though
