Directions
After reading the story, the students will search the book for words that have the long e sound in words with 'ea'. As a class, we will identify other words that we know have the long e sound spelled with 'ea'. Once there are at least 24 words identified they will be written on the board and the bingo game can begin. The teacher will have made flashcards of the words that will be used in the bingo cards and she will call out the words as the students identify and mark the words with their square game counters. Students can win by filling a row going up or down, side to side, or diagonal (The teacher can adjust the rules as needed) . The student who wins will get a prize if he is able to read and spell the words on his winning row.
