Re: Past Perfect Is it just me or are they all in 1,2,3 order???? |
Re: Past Perfect It's just you...jk All the sentences are in the correct grammatical order, but this sheet is asking the order of the events. For example: When I arrived at John's (1), we drank the wine (2) he had opened (3). First John opened the wine (3) then we arrived (1) and then we drank the wine (2) so the answer is (d) BTW, this is a good worksheet but it has a couple of grammatical mistakes. Sentence 2 should read John had gotten up late, and sentence 4 should read "stomach ache" |
Re: Past Perfect Actually had got is gramatically correct gotten is an American thing. And you don't need to have a space between stomach and ache |
