To qualify for a legal working status in Taiwan, you should have the following qualifications:

Minimum BA/BS Degree:
PLUS A TESOL/TEFL/TESL/CELTA CERTIFICATE
Native Speaker of English:
ENGLISH MUST BE YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE
Have a Passport from an English Speaking Country:
AUSTRALIA, CANADA, NEW ZEALAND, SOUTH AFRICA, UNITED KINGDOM, and UNITED STATES
Minimum 12 months commitment:
WORK PERMITS ARE OF 12 MONTHS DURATION
Teacher License – for certified teachers only
