General Public Schools in Seoul

Successful applicants will be required to conduct English conversation classes for Korean elementary and secondary school students in Seoul as part of the Korean government’s aim to promote and strengthen English language education. A candidate should have strong sense of creativity, motivation, and enjoy working with young children as part of an academic team. Successful applicants are expected to focus on the development of oral communication skills using interactive teaching methods.

1) Salary: 1.8 ~ 2.7 mil Korean won (depends on the qualifications)
2) Single housing
3) 300,000 won settlement pay
4) 100% severance pay
5) A round trip airfare
6) 500,000 won Housing allowance
7) March 1st 2009 start (teachers have to arrive Korea by end of February for Orientation)
8) 21 working days paid vacation a year
8) 50% medical insurance, 50% National pension plan
9) Working Schedule: 9:00am~5:00pm
10) Class hours
Elementary School ; Class hour – 40 mints per class and it’s counted as one hour
Middle School ; Class hour – 45 mints per class and it’s counted as one hour

Basic Requirements

1. Must be a native English speaker (CANADIAN, AMERICAN, AUSTRALIAN, NZ, UK, IRISH or SOUTH AFRICAN)
2. Holds a BACHELORS DEGREE or higher (with any major)
