Yeosu city is located on the southern coast of the Korean peninsula. It is very close to Geoje and Jeju islands, so you can easily visit those places by ferry.
Also, it is only 1 hour by bus or train to Busan, the 2nd largest city in Korea. Yeosu is can be considered the Korean San Francisco, as it has a very similar environment and climate. There is a close-knit foreign community that helps newcomers adjust to the local life.
The natural environment is a perfect example of harmony between mountains, rivers and sea. Its geography includes a coastline with superb beaches and scenic cliffs, beautiful islands, and mountains which provide excellent hiking and extraordinary views, and hot springs scattered throughout the city.
