If you are a US citizen and a graduate of one of their top 20 universities, then you could be a SAT Prep. Instructor. We at Planet People can help you. Qualifications:
• Nationality: Only American citizens who recently graduated from one of the TOP 20 universities in the US.
• Teacher's ethnicity doesn't matter. Overseas Koreans are welcome to apply too.
• No prior teaching experience required, but must have passion for teaching
• Competitive: We want to see someone who thrives on cracking exams and gains satisfaction helping others beat exams/systems
• Charismatic: We want highly intelligent but not boring people. To thrive in this job, you must have an excellent people skills as you must interact with parents and students.
General working conditions:
1. Location: Seoul, Daejeon, Ulsan and other cities.
2. Salary- 2.5~ 3.5 million won with single housing, airfare, 5~ 10 days vacation per year and all other standard benefits.
3. Working days: 5 days a week guaranteed but many schools have Saturday classes or weekend classes so teachers may take 2 days off during the week.
4. Working 6 hours per day. Work schedule varies. (we can specify more about the schedule when we talk about a particular school with a teacher).
5. Teachers may have more than 6 hours teaching during the summer and winter intensive course. Those are the time many Korean students from overseas (specially from the US) return to Korea to study intensively during the summer vacation period and so on. The school will pay overtime pay according to the overtime rate stated in the contract.
6. Hiring season: all year round. We are currently looking for teachers who can start in April, May and June.
