Adding A Border

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site and am still trying to figure it out.
I'm teaching grade 1 fruits and vegetables and want to make a worksheet for drawing. The only problem is that I can't seem to add borders. When I go back to my saves pictures and click the border that I want, it doesn't show up on the worksheet! Can anyone help?
