what factors most contribute to a hagwon's success Hello, i just stumbled upon this site and thought it is less known than other's but navigates much better and the layout seems to be more user friendly than other bigger esl sites - so props to eslhq i have read many posts about teaching experiences and the challenges of teaching adults and children english and having to deal with acclimating to korean culture and greedy hagwon directors what i am curiuos to find out is what you guys - esl teachers in korea; believe to be the make or break factors of a hagwon in seoul i know that the environment is competitive and that there is an abundance of hagwons - what makes some thrive with 2000+ students and other's fail from your perspective and experience i am asking as i have been approached about moving to korean with the idea of partnering with a group in order to open businesses in korea including hagwons esl teachers for sure determine a large part of a school's success but i wonder what else you have found to help or hurt a hagwon's success thanks for your input and if all goes well - who knows i may end up being part of operating a hagwon that is actually teacher friendly |

Re: what factors most contribute to a hagwon's success In Japan, it's pretty much the general business factors, timing, location, and reputation that make a school successful or not. I imagine it's not much different across the pond. |
