Teaching present simple to 7 year olds

Hi everybody,

I have to teach a class of 7 year olds (10 students) a class on present simple. They have a really basic knowledge of english(colors, etc.). I really donīt know were to begin as I have never taught this age group, I have always taught 12-16 year old.
I would really appreciate any suggestions.:help:

Hello,

Pick 10 or so verbs that represent actions that the kids can do in the classroom (walk, draw, speak....) Write out the different conjugations (I walk, you walk, he walks....) Have the kids draw ppictures that represent the verbs. Then, have them draw a picture for each subject pronoun. "I" - a picture of the student himself, you - a picture of you the teacher he- a picture of one boy in the class. They then combine the the picture of the subject pronoun doing the action with the conjugated verb. This can be done on the board too. Good luck!
