Teacher pay in San Francisco??

Hi all, I'm looking for teaching jobs at English language schools in San Francisco. Does anyone know the starting pay rate for this area? I have a CELTA and a year of experience overseas. Thanks!

Re: Teacher pay in San Francisco??

I've discovered the hard way that language schools in San Francisco do not pay a living wage - and I have a very modest budget. The pay is only slightly above the level of unemployment. These teaching jobs are for those who have a partner that makes good money, those with 10 roommates in a 2 bedroom, or the independently wealthy.

Don't waste your time going to interviews and preparing demos. I wish I hadn't!
