Spanish to English Letter Pronunciation Materials Hi all!
Just started my class teaching ESL to native Spanish speakers. I have found that the biggest problem they have right now is basic pronunciation. They are confused as to how particular letters sound. Compounding the problem is the variable nature of english sounds, that can be soft, hard, or irregular. When I spot these problems, I am writing a phonetic translation on the board to help, but I know that they are neither accurate, nor a good habit.
Does anyone out there have a spanish-english phonetic translation sheet for the alphabet?
Any and all materials or suggestions are welcome. Thanks-JB |
