Role play I am currently working on simple role play with classes of 7-10 year olds. I have around 25-30 in a class. We have been working on conversations between shopkeepers and customers. "Good morning, can I help you..., I would like.... etc etc". I usually model the conversation first, then they practise as a whole class, then I ask the children to work in pairs while I rush round the classroom listening and finally I ask pairs of children to perform for the whole class.
Has anyone got any other ideas for how to scaffold the learning of this sort of role play? I would like to try some different techniques!
regards
