Need for music in ESL? How many teachers or ESL learners would be interested in original music for ESL learning or teaching? It would be written and recorded by a featured artist with the recording levels set to highlight the vocals of the artist. Songs would be written in catchy and pop type format, however the vocals would be clear, concise and easy to understand. I think this would be a helpful resource, what about you? |

Thanks for info. Thanks for the information. I liked the web-sites. I have an American English learning site and I'm thinking about offering some songs for ESL learners. They aren't going to be directed towards children though. They will be alternative, or music directed towards adults that is similar to music heard on a popular radio station. We will record the music with the vocals in the front, other instruments less noticable. I'll see if it turns out alright. |
Re: Need for music in ESL? Hi there, Here are some nice songs in varied musical styles for children aged 3 to 8. ESL Songs for Children They can be used alone or with accompanying stories (3 to 5s only). The language is deliberately simple and repetitive so that it is totally realistic for the children to be able to sing along and do all the actions, or act out the songs. Do listen to the 30 second samples of each song so you know what you are getting. Enjoy! Shelley |

I know I learned a lot of Japanese in the beginning from children's songs and TV shows for toddlers. Adults can appreciate a fun way of learning if they are truely learning. |
