Well, they rehired me, if that counts. It's a good job so i might stick around a while. |
Re: Job Hunting Season So, when exactly are the job seasons? |
Re: Job Hunting Season In Japan it's March (jobs start in April) and there's a small rush in July (some jobs start in Auguast.) However, people quit and things happen so there's always this and that floating around. |
Re: Job Hunting Season Uni job hunting season here in Korea has come and gone. you'll have to wait until summer to start applying for the september uni jobs... hagwons (English language institutes) are always hiring. |
Re: Job Hunting Season It seems as though schools are looking for teachers year round, though. I've seen it first-hand. A school gets a new teacher and they find out that the teacher either doesn't teach well, or isn't very reliable. So in this case, they'll need to replace that weak teacher right away. I should point out that it's not always the teachers. Sometimes the teaching environment is no good, or the co-workers are not easy to get along with. In this case, the school still needs to replace that teacher and then finds themselves with a high turnover of teachers, and needing them all the time. |
Re: Job Hunting Season The english conversation schools are always hiring here in Japan. For the reasons above and because some teachers disappear overnight. Seriously! |
