 Is the price of Gas affecting your tutoring service?
Just wondering about this subject with those of us who travel by car to teach. 
Most of my students are 20 -25 miles from where I actually live so I've made a point of organizing my classes to avoid wasting time and gas. But now the latter is *really* becoming more important. Granted, my car gets good mileage, but the trip still costs me almost $10 RT. I have a feeling if I raise my per hour fee, I would lose some students. It's slow in the summer as it is with students going home.
I'm considering teaching from my home, but I know most students won't commute out this way. (I live in the "sticks".)
I've thought about renting a small space and doing more group classes. Just trying to brainstorm.
Anyone else in the same boat? Ideas? |
