I need some ideas about writing activity for jhs. i need new ideas. I work in this school for 1 year and this is my second year. I need new ideas aside from journal writing.

What were you doing with the journal writing assignment? Was it just writing a diary?

I've had students write a page every week based on some topic question, like:
- Where do you want to travel to and why? What will you do there?
- What's your favorite book? Tell me about the characters, places and stories.
- Tell me about your family.

Last year, I gave them topic like My trip to tokyo, Plan for spring vacation, things that I can/can,t do,ect. So, I am looking for new idea for their writing this year.
