Green Card Lottery winner?

I have just received an email allegedly from the US Department of State informing me I have won the Green Card but I have to pay 819 US dollars in order to obtain it.


You are one of the 50,000 winners selected by the computer random draw from the 12.1 million entries registered in the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program . The Diversity Immigrant Visa program is a United States congressionally-mandated lottery program for receiving a United States Permanent Resident Card. It is also known as the Green Card Lottery.

Does anyone has any experience in this kind of things? Is it a real mail or fraud?

I would be very wary of that email. Sounds like fraud to me.

you are right. it is fraud. (I've checked the official site)
