Getting Private Classes in Spain I just want to share with you some tips that I have found to work when looking for private English students in Spain.
Firstly there are many online resources. The problem I found with this was that there was a race to the bottom in terms of prices. In Valencia recently I saw someone advertising for 7 Euros an hour. I think this must be an erasmus student or someone similar.
What I found worked the best was putting up fliers around language schools at exam time. Offer private classes as a way for them to have more time studying and learning before an exam. Then try and keep the student when the exam has finished. Then ask them to see if any of their friends need classes. Go to intercambios and introduce yourself as a tutor and offer your lessons. Obviously there is a certain way to do this.
The longer you are in a place the easier it is to get lessons as you start to really get a network of friends and students. And if you are a good teacher you will soon get recommended.
What have you found to be the best way to get private classes in Spain or elsewhere? |
