New grammar lesson for you all: Present Simple vs. Present Continuous Hey guys. Hope you're all well.
A great new grammar lesson has just been uploaded to teachingtruffles.com which most of you will find useful! It enables students to more accurately describe the present moment using present simple and present continuous. This is achieved by focusing on the difference between stative and continuous verbs. It's suitable for pre-intermediate students, however you may use it for higher / lower levels if you wish.
Although these two tenses are considered to be basic, I have often heard my Thai students using the wrong tense, even at intermediate level. I've used this lesson several times and have found it to be both challenging and useful for the students. Click here to go to the lesson download page. The lesson is free, printable and lasts a full hour. It consists of a teacher's guide, worksheets, answers and also a fun board game. You don't need to sign up for the website or anything like that. Just click and the whole lesson downloads in a few seconds.
So, try this lesson with your students. I'm sure that it'll be an enjoyable and productive experience for everyone. Don't forget to let me know how it goes. Good luck!
Dave
