Help: Grammar - Passie Voice Currently teaching children (age 13-15) in a Japanese Junior High School, and doing passive voice this week and next week. I have made worksheets for my kids, they know how to change sentences into passive voice now (at least I hope so). Eg. "A great pilot flew the plane." -> "The plane was flown by a great pilot." However, I need some help on planning a game for this grammar point. I have thought about it for a while but couldn't get my head to function. Will really appreciate it if someone could give me a few ideas or similiar games they have done before. Cheers. |
Re: Help: Grammar - Passie Voice Try these Shinosuke : http://www.eslpartyland.com/teachers...ssivecards.htm http://www.esl-lounge.com/level3/lev3passivegame.shtml or see this page on Mesmark's site |
Re: Help: Grammar - Passie Voice In the junior highs I like to play Bombs Away which is just battleship. This is really just for practice and fluency. I assume they have already learned the grammar behind it. www.mes-english.com/games/bombsaway.php There is a passive sheet all ready to go. If you hear a lot of laughter, you know that they understand what they are saying. For introduction I use my cards Susan53 linked to above. |
Re: Help: Grammar - Passie Voice Thanks a lot of the links. Will read through them and most likely use the battleship game ^_^ Much appreciated!! |
