| | Games for adults? Hi! One of my classes is an adult class of about 30 students that meets three times a week for 2-3 hours. Their English ability varies from those who can converse with ease, to those who have trouble stringing sentences together. My goal with them is to give the more advanced students a chance to have more detailed conversations while letting the less advanced students get to a comfortable level.
Are there any good games for adults that aren't too simple, aren't hard to play, and that will get everyone talking and hold their interest? I've been having a hard time answering this question on my own, and would love some help!
Thanks,

That might help get your started. One piece of advice when doing games with adults. Don't highlight the score or better yet, don't keep score. They seem to be more sensitive to losing than children. At least that has been my experience...

| | Re: Games for adults? Thanks, guys, for your suggestions! So far I've only had a chance to try the listening exercise and that turned out to be a fine lesson. Mostly what I've been doing with them until now has been to have them practice conversations in small groups, but you've given me some ideas to play around with! |
