1 to 1 adult business I was just wondering if anyone has any experience or ideas with 1 to 1 Business English? I have a two hour class coming up fairly soon and I have only taught classes and groups before. Thank you in advance! |
Re: 1 to 1 adult business The biggest difference between solo and group classes is time (for me anyway.) You'll get through activities much quicker. if you're not careful you'll also see less practice with certain activities and find yourself moving on faster than you would with group lessons. What are you planning to teach for the first lesson or 2? |
Re: 1 to 1 adult business Well for my first lesson I was thinking about doing an introduction, going through why the student wants to learn english and then some activities. I guess my company does not have enough information so there is no text book yet and that will be determined after the first lesson. I actually dont know the students level and so I am basically flying blind. Would you have any suggestions on maybe what activies would work well for a low or intermediate level. Besides finding out the students strength and weaknesses in English is there anything else I find out? |
Re: 1 to 1 adult business Recognise your student's learning style, if you are familiar with this concept. If no then do some research as i've found out that this approach makes whole learning process highly effective. Especially when it comes to 1 on 1 learning! |
