Default series

A drama 'Difficult Brothers' on TV is shown every weekday, and it has 30 episodes. Is it correct to say this?

-This drama series is real good. I watch it every night after dinner.

If 'series' is correct, what do we call the relationship between 'Difficult Brothers' and its sequel 'Difficult Brothers 2', which has 25 episodes?

-The Difficult Brothers ?series? has been very popular in Denmark.

You can use series for both meanings in British English - For example , if you Google "Frost series 2" or "Midsomer Murders series 5" you'll see series being used in the second sense. But if you want to distinguish between them you van use "season" for the second meaning - and this seems to be most current in US English. Google for example "NCIS season 4" or "CSI season 3"
