Question To complete or complete?

Hi!

I've got a doubt with one sentence and which of the following two options is the right one. It would be great if you could also explain the reason behind.

1. Help Michael, the student in my class, to complete his homework.

2. Help Michael, the student in my class, complete his homework.

Thanks for your time and help in advance!
