Question FOR Students (books) I am a teacher, and I hope that a few students can answer some questions for me. I'd like to know about your opinions. :) What is the name of your favourite English study book (textbook or other)? What did you like about it (explanations, drawings, layout, etc)? and What are some books that your really did not like? Why didn't you like them? If your children are studying English, what are your favourite books for them? Do your children like the same books that you like? I am always looking for new books, and I am curious to know if my opinions are the same as my students. I think a lot of my students are too shy or too polite to tell me the truth directly. ;) Thanks in advance for your help, Karen |
Re: Question FOR Students (books) I'm not a student but a fellow teacher. My students used to love the true stories or very easy true stories book series. I forget the author or publisher but you can just ask at the english book store and they will have it. They are short true stories about people or events in our world that students seem to be very interested in. Good for Grade 3 and older. There are also a series of questions and exercises students can complete after. Hope this helps Nick Dauphinee Study in Canada www.globerunner.ca |
Re: Question FOR Students (books) Thanks, Nick. I do use the True Stories series and I like them, too. Karen |
Re: Question FOR Students (books) My students also enjoy What a World & What a Life, these are similar to Easy True Stories but not story-based. |
