Re: Help with referee or umpire thanks Sue What about rugby, fencing, judo, Karate, chess Is it referee or umpire? |
Re: Help with referee or umpire All referee. Umpire for - rowing, bowls, netball, softball, and Australian rules football, sailing. Referee for most other sports. Re cricket - there are actually two umpires and a referee. if the umpires aren't sure of a decision they can ask the off-field referee to view a video replay and decide. Tennis tournaments also have a referee who can overrule an umpire's decision if necessary. |
Re: Help with referee or umpire a hockey official is called a referee there is usually 2 on the ice in a rec league but 4 in the nhl and college leagues :) |
