choice of words I am looking for the right word in the two similar sentences below.
(1) Every day, I shop at XYZ and buy fruit.
(2) Every day, I shop at XYZ for fruit.
In (1), I am using the verbs, to shop and to buy, which have similar meanings. Is it grammatically wrong to put them in one sentence?
In (2), is it wrong to say, "shop for something"?
I think there is a problem with the choice of my words. Please explain it. Thanks a lot.
