We invite potential trainees to apply to undertake our Distance Learning TESOL course as part of the Mick Leigh Bursary.
Mick Leigh was an Australian poet, conservationist and teacher who took the Teachasia TESOL course when he was 70 years old whereupon he travelled to Bangkok and Mauritius to be a ESL teacher, sadly he passed away early in 2009.
The Bursary is open to Native and Non-Native English speakers. Ideally you should hold a degree although the Bursary is open to non-degree holders. A degree is the usual pre-requisite for a Work Permit and Teacher Licence in most countries.
Teachasia is an Institutional Member of the College of Teachers (UK) and we actively support our trainees into membership of the College of Teachers.
Our TESOL course can be completed over 120 hours, you would be required to purchase a couple of text books and complete the module assignments. Upon completion you will receive your Diploma and our Resource Bank CD which is packed full of the most useful lesson plans and teaching aids possible.
The Mick Leigh Bursary allows us to offer our TESOL course modules for free.
We charge an non-refundable administration fee of UK£50.00 for registration, diploma, production of our resources banks on CD and postage/packing.
