Re: Where is the best country your have taught? My best and worst was probably Finland. Worst because, at this time of year, living without daylight has a very weird effect on your brain. Not to be recommended to anyone already prone to depression. And best because in June everyone is just high on light for the whole of the early summer. Bonfire barbecues by the lake at 2am and confused little birds starting their dusk chorus as the sun hovers vaguely near the horizon and then turning it into the dawn chorus as it goes straight up again. But I didn't go back for a second year - I couldn't face the thought of another winter. |
