Re: Sentences One of the best approaches is substitution drilling. The best thing about this is that it's easy to mask it in ALOT of fun games.
even though you said no writing activities i'm assuming that the sts can read....... here goes:
1. Sticky ball/ball throwing - write the words (or draw pictures) of the words that are to be substituted into the sentence. you can either say the word/do an action to indicate which word you want the students throw the ball at (i usually have two teams). The student that hits the correct target and says the sentence. You can replace ball throwing with run and slap.
