I make small cards of the subject concerned - using each image five or six times.I keep one complete copy for myself and the rest I deal out between the children (usually about six kids) then we play "chuck it" - I turn a card without showing it to the kids and say what it is (for example "it's raining") and it's the first child who chucks the right card and says the word into the middle gets rid of one card - the game is played until the first child has got rid of all his cards - my groups love this game and it's a good way to drum in new vocabulary. |
