Sounds like some rowdy students! You can have them play pictionary or have just two students come up to the board at a time to compete on vocabulary word definitions. You could write a sentence up there and have the two students compete to correct the grammar. As long as the class knows that there is a possibility that they can get up, they usually are pretty attentive. Tell the rest of the class that the next two students to come up are the ones who stayed in their seats. |
